AI Suite 3 won't install (Win 10)

I finally built my new PC and had a fair deal of trouble setting it up. Asus has a weird way of handling drivers (such as starting both 32 and 64 but sonic studio using task scheduler and then again using normal startup 2 times each (for total of 6 times), all giving popups to confirm startup of those programs ), but I managed to work around most of them somehow.

Now the only problem I have left is AI studio setup (got the latest one) simply not starting. I tried starting AsusSetup.exe and Setup.exe (as administrator) Cursor changes to indicate some sort of loading a few times, but nothing beyond that happens. I tried launching AI Suite setup directly (rather than centralized setup) and it starts, but closes shortly.
I was wondering if anyone knows what to do with that. Are there some pre-requisites I need to install first?

EDIT: I've tried every version listed in download page now.

My setup:
Windows 10 pro
Motherboard: Asus Maximus X Hero
CPU: Intel i7-8700k
Graphics Card: None right now
(I assume the rest is irrelevant)

It wouldn't surprise me if you need to 'Unblock' the installer first.
Right click and select properties. In the general tab see if there is a button in the lower right hand corner of the window that says 'Unblock'.
Click it then try installing again. This is a known issue with loads of Asus installers.

Thanks for your feedback.

Asus doesn't seem to support AI Suite 3 on Windows 10 (at least not yet.)

You need to contact them for status updates on Windows 10 support for that package.

I have updated to the latest version of Windows 10 1903 this afternoon and since then AI Suite 3 has stopped working. This isn't the first time this has happened after updating Windows 10.

I usually just do a search and after looking around find a new version of AI suite 3 and re-install or install over the top and I'm back and running.

However today I am stuck which is why I thought I'd put a post out for the first time because I currently have version 3.00.28 installed and I can't find another version.

There is a reference to a 3.00.51 but I cannot find it anywhere I've searched and I've exhausted all options.

Does anyone know where I can download 3.00.51 or a version that is compatible with Windows 10 1903?

I'm sure other people will start to experience this problem also after upgrading to 1903

Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you very much.

You can get it here, for example its downloadable for my motherboard type (PRIME Z370-A)

Hi and thanks to Katlani for provding the link to the latest AI Suite.

I can confirm that re-installing the latest AI Suite 3 3.00.51 has resolved my problem.

Therefore if anyone has problems with AI Suite 3 not working after upgrading Windows 10 1809 to Windows 10 1903 then you will need to install the latest AI Suite 3 3.00.51.

Excellent I can now sleep well tonight knowing my fans are working properly!

Ai suite iii

Installation of AI SUITE III impossible here, at least the DIP module

Just wanted to check in here on the AI Suite 3 issues and the Maximus VI mobo. For me the AI Suite 3 began failing almost immediately. Suite would crash and leave the Splash.exe lights running. Most updated versions stolen from other mobo pages weren't really any better. By now I was really just using it for fan control. I would never trust software running under WIndows to OC my bios for me anyway, so it was mostly a system monitor and I found the measurements weren't all that accurate anyway. But the Windows 10 1903 upgrade was the death of all of it. Good riddance. I give up. I removed everything ASUS Suite related and moved on. Uninstalled and manually deleted folders and found that you really don't need any of it. Currently have all the com services disabled and everything seems to work fine so I think they can go too. I would mention that I don't use WIFI GO or USB boost, so I can't report whether those work anymore or not. I use Afterburner instead of Tweak, which never really worked dependably anyway.

Using Speedfan IV for the fans for now. At first it wasn't controlling them and I found that you have to go to the chip settings and set the PWM1-5 to manual mode from Speedfan IV default and bingo. And leave the PWM type to PWM. It's not fancy but works fine until I get the Commander and Light Node later this summer.

Sure I'm disappointed with quality issues. It is what it is. Onboard sound failed after a year. Distortion and Balance issues, hence the USB audio interface and saved the PCI lanes for the 780s. 3 out of 4 VGA fans died after 2 years but that might be normal. A little tricky to replace, you have to wire the new fans into the old harness.

I just checked mine again and Bluetooth Hand-free audio, Bluetooth L2CAP Interface might not work properly.
AI Suite 3 say «These apps won,t work correctly after the upgrade»

some posters report that it does work. i use some of its features like fan expert, monitoring, and i set rough overclocks before adjusting i bios.

From my experience in general those types of programs are more trouble than their worth. In reference to overclocking, I have found that more often than not the program really over volts the system. Then all the other bloat ware is just fluff to me. But hey if that's you thing go for it.

I for one, prefer to manually set overclock setting manually in the bios.

Good luck either way you choose.

So I just upgraded to Windows 10 from 7 and guess what? *AI Suite won't work. I've decided to uninstall and go with hardware control of fans. So sad.*
The problem is with AI Suite 3, you never REALLY uninstall it, do you? *There are pieces of all over my new OS. It seems to even be affecting my BIOS.

So please, how to get rid of this terrible piece of software for good? *Thank you.

Ive been having big problems with AI Suite III on my X99-A ii system with windows 10 64bit installed. It gives me random blue screen at log in and when I try to run the 5 way optimization, I get access violation errors at random parts of the process that prevent it from proceeding. I do wish Asus would finally address these issues. They are pesky and prevent my system from utilizing these great tools.

Don't hold your breath. Contacted support 3 weeks ago. Still no response. Awful.*

Update: The Intel MEI station drivers appear to have made a difference. My board is Maximus VII Hero Z87 chipset with 4790K Devils Canyon at 4.6Ghz, I will report again in 24 hours but no crashes since last night and normally I would have had a few crashes by now from the Dipawaymode like everyone else.

From what I can tell this is a Windows 10 issue which the updated station drivers should fix.

Update: Installing the Intel MEI drivers ended the Dipawaymode crashes completely. I now have a hardware related crash occasionally but no mention of anything related to Asus, just nonspecific windows hardware crash not nearly so often as before. I have reinstalled AI Suite using the Windows 7 compatibility option. No crashes since last night and machine is left on 24/7. I'll report back later on this Windows 7 setting.

Update: Windows 7 compatibility didn't seem to make a difference because I'm still getting a once a day crash sometime after 5PM but I have investigated this. After looking at the reliability report I keep seeing Windows updates are being installed during these so called crashes. Apparently this is a common problem related to Windows updates and automatic restarts which always occur when the machine is idle, I'm never around when these so called crashes occur. I have tracked this down to an auto update setting that relates to updates called the Update Orchestrator in the Task Scheduler which I have disabled. I'll have to test this setting again for 24 hours then report back with my results.

Please to anyone reporting back here after installing the new Intel MEI drivers and disabling Update Orchestrator in order to end the
dipawaymode AI Suite related crashes and to fix the Windows update issue with it's insanely stupid random reboots while you are away.

Update: Absolutely zero crashes over the weekend, no reboots no nothing since disabling the Update Orchestrator, machine is on 24-7. Some kind of glitch there with Windows Updates and automatic reboots «crashes» which I don't see on my other machines so I assume this was maybe AI Suite software related. Do not bother uninstalling the AI Suite software, instead you should reinstall the software then install the Intel MEI drivers and disable the Update Orchestrator then run the AI Suite again for fan and CPU tuning.

I'm going to declare that the AI Suite crash issue is now solved. If you want to run the AI Suite then you should first install the Intel MEI drivers then disable the Update Orchestrator per the directions in the link.

Update: 10 more days zero crashes, the problem is certainly solved. There are no issues at all with the AI Suite software besides what was reported and fixed here. Using new bios 3103.
